T-Mobile is set to add a new "flagship" Android device to their lineup of smartphones, one that likely signals the end of the T-Mobile G1, the original Android-based device.

Posts over at xda-developers explain the process of enabling Google Maps Navigation on the T-mobile G1, opening up the possibility of a custom ROM for the device. With the open-source of the Android OS, the opportunities almost seem endless.
