
Buzzd is a popular application that pulls data from other users and feeds such as Twitter to give users the latest information regarding their current location. Users can find the best places to eat, grab a drink or go dancing...among other things. The application is available in the marketplace.

Its been about a year since the Android market was launched with the desire to compete with the Apple app store, among other things. Apparently, however, developers are not so happy with the layout of the market and feel that it makes their applications hard to be noticed. According to a recent survey done by Skyhook Wireless, 82% of developers that participated were in dismay.
When it came to profits from apps, 57% of the dev's agreed that they are not very happy with the amount of profit they make from the marketplace.

With the recent launch of Motorola's DROID, the market shows an increase of 94% within application development. Most of the focus seems to be on games, as developers become interested with the ability to write multiplayer games. These stats are according to Mobile Analytics company Flurry:
